Despite a dreadful start to the day with penetrating drizzle and low cloud, the weather cleared up well to give a very pleasant afternoon for all involved. Regrettably for aircraft fans, the Vulcan didn’t show because of a technical fault, but the Typhoon was nearly as loud! Our thanks to all those who supported the Witley showing, and especially to the riders and those who brought along machines for the display and the equipment for the trials arena.

Road Riding News - National Rally success – Witley Best Club Team!

Results have recently been announced - and the Witley team of Dave Kavanagh (BMW), Laurence Richards (Kawasaki) and Gordon Ayshford (Suzuki) have won the Best Club Team Award!

Dave achieved a Special Gold award and Laurie and Gordon managed to pick up Platinum awards by completing the special tests at the MIRA test track in the morning of the Rally prior to riding to Leicester for the start. Dave rode a completely different route, meaning that the team members were not united until the finish at Bletchley Park, where they also met up with the other Witley riders, Luke and Adam.

Entries have now closed for the 2008 Edition of the Witley MCC Long Distance Trial, we will not be accepting any entries on the day. Looks like the weather is not going to be to kind to us but should make the sections more interesting, hope you all have an enjoyable days sport.
