Witley and District Motorcycle Club
International Six Day Enduro Team
Brive-la-Gaillarde – 28th August – 2nd September 2017
Witley and District Motorcycle Club club has a long history of taking club teams to the International Six Day Enduro. The ISDE is the oldest competition in the off-road motorcycle calendar. Now in it’s 92nd year, the ‘Olympics of Motorcycling’ is still, at its core, a tough endurance event. Riders will race eight-hour days, for six days, before doing all their own bike maintenance in the evening work time.
In 2017, the ISDE will be held in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France. Witley & DMCC hopes to send one or two teams of three riders and is open to current active club members who wish to be part of this event. The Witley Club is also looking for club members to be part of the support crew for this prestigious event.
It is important that prospective riders understand the personal costs associated with this event. From experience, we anticipate that the event costs around £4000 per rider. While this is a lot of money, the ISDE really is a fantastic opportunity to ride as part of the Team GB contingent at the very pinnacle of our sport. No other event can match the unique challenge and atmosphere that the ISDE brings.
