  • Course Planners: John Martin
Classes: Trail, Trial, Enduro (Teams of 3 riding any class)
Course: The Course is entirely off-road; primarily in hilly woodland, the course will be marked by arrows (and tape where appropriate). The observed sections will not be excessively difficult and will be suitable for riders inexperienced at trial riding and those on Enduro type machinery. Deviations to the observed sections may be introduced as a challenge for trials bikes. There is no restriction on tyres.

Riders will be set off for each of the stages in rider number order at timed intervals so make sure you are in the queue ready to go.

Stage 1 cross-country course involving observed sections. Marking as per TSR22A Stop Permitted Not against the clock – there should be some time to look at the sections before riding them on the first lap

Penalties :
  • Footing Once in the section ~1 mark lost
  • Footing Twice in the section ~2 marks lost
  • Footing more than twice~3 marks lost
  • Failing to ride the section (Ref TSR22A)~5 marks lost

Stage 2Similar to Stage 1…. but against the clock, though not a’ race’… (So please be polite and considerate to slower riders). A relatively relaxed bogey time is set to keep the field moving, though marks will be lost for late completion of the stage. Marking as per TSR22A Stop Permitted Sections may be altered (simplified) to ensure a flowing Stage and Penalties marking system simplified:

  • Footing once or more in the section~3 marks lost
  • Failure to ride the section (Ref TSR22A)~5 marks lost
  • Late arrival at the start or finish~2 marks lost per minute late up to a max of 60.
Stage 3Same cross-country course but no observation. Each section becomes a check-point. Again this is against the clock and the bogey time will be more challenging Riders are required only to pass through the start gate of each section as they make their way round the course.

Penalties:
  • Failing to pass through Gate ~ 5 marks lost
  • Late arrival at the start or finish ~ 2 marks lost per minute late up to a max of 60.

Details of the number of laps, the bogey times and other rider information will be given at a riders briefing a few minutes before the event start time. Please ensure you take note.

Hot and Cold Refreshments and Food will be Available.
Location: Chawton Park, Four Marks, Alton
